"Food Cart Fest is back and it’s bigger and better than ever. Launching Sunday, June 23, and running every Sunday til September 22, Vancouverites can expect a weekly serving of food and fun all summer long.

The Arrival Agency and the Streetfood Vancouver Society are pleased to announce the second annual Food Cart Fest. Beginning Sunday, June 23, at its new home at 215 West 1st Avenue [steps away from The Village], the festival will run for 14 weeks till September 22. Boasting one of the largest gatherings of food carts in North America, this year’s festival will highlight Vancouver’s exploding street food culture, Admission is only $2."

James MacKinnon woke up at 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning to catch a glimpse of the new resident making waves in Vancouver's Olympic Village neighbourhood. A beaver has been spotted in the man-made water channel in Hinge Park on Friday... Unusual as it may seem, the Olympic Village beaver is part of a trend, said Robyn Worcester, conservations program manager at the Stanley Park Ecology Society. "They're turning up pretty regularly right now," she said.
